The following is a list of suggestions or things to consider as you prepare for our time together. This is an excellent opportunity to tap into the resources that are available to you. You deserve the time it takes to prep your body, mind, and spirit for this experience. Take what resonates and leave the rest behind.

Rituals for Being Seen

1 DAY BEFORE

  • DRINK LOTS OF WATER. AND THEN DRINK SOME MORE. BECAUSE WE’RE NEVER REALLY DRINKING ENOUGH ANYWAY, RIGHT?

  • PACK A BAG WITH THE ESSENTIALS

  • practical shoes for walking around in

  • any and all clothes you plan on wearing

  • touch up make-up if you’re wearing any

  • water bottle

  • snacks

  • TRY TO GET SOME GOOD SLEEP. CONSIDER GOING TO BED EARLY THE NIGHT BEFORE.

  • SET AN INTENTION

  • Think of how you’d like to show up. Visualize the day unfolding. Imagine it all coming true.

THE DAY OF

  • DRINK MORE WATER, EAT A MEAL

  • CONSIDER ENGAGING IN INTENTIONAL MOVEMENT

    • If you have a movement practice like stretching, yoga, going for a walk, or running, do that! If you like to dance, put on one song and shake it out. Do the thing that grounds you. Alternatively, if you like to meditate, meditate!

  • GIVE YOURSELF WIGGLE ROOM

    • Draw a sacred circle around our time and protect it like your life depends on it. What I mean is, give yourself the gift of margin. Even if it’s just 30 minutes prior till we meet, can you carve out some time where you are just sitting? Just being? Not doing anything? What about 5 minutes of just sitting, just breathing in an out? You’d be surprised at how much 2 minutes of margin can do for you too. Regardless of where you land, I will have space for us to both get grounded and settled into our time together.
